PC Disease

The inability to accept that we have decades of war ahead of us seems to be the disease du jour in American social circles.

Degenerative Neurasthenic Cognition, or DNC

This Alzheimer's-like syndrome reduces one's linear history and cause/effect analysis to buzzword shards, forcing its sufferers to assemble haphazard rationales to explain the world - a world that no longer makes sense to them.

So, as Daniel Pipes reports, the Media uses every possible euphemism available to refer to the inhuman murderers of Beslan as anything other than Islamic Terrorists. By misleading Americans with this criminal doubletalk, the Media hopes to avoid being seen as politically incorrect.

Here's a finer example: "Mr. Bin Laden is still at large." Mister?

This faux intellectual appellation, when applied to human monsters, is the height of PC pretentiousness. "Mr. Al Sadr declined Mr. Al Zarqawi's invitation to the beheading event due to a long-standing dental appointment." "Mr. Dahmer spent the morning sorting thumbs." "Mr. Tyson is inclined, when miffed, to nibble."

The dream of the journalist is to be considered an intellectual, the hope of the intellectual is to be viewed as a gatekeeper of fairness and morality, the gatekeeper, to be just, must treat everyone as equal when judging them - which means "let all pass except those who look or act like the gatekeeper."

If American press journalists were all Black, there would be virtually no institutionalized racism or "lowered expectation syndrome." Not because they would seek out trivial examples to exploit, but because they would – using the “just gatekeeper” rationale – report how the Black community is used and abused by opportunists, of all races.
White journalists simply can’t afford to risk this sort of honesty if they hope to continue working in the PC and DNC-befuddled Media.

Given an All-Black press, Jason Blair would have been sent from his hiring interview at NYT directly to a Wendy's window and headset. Al Sharpton would be required to act like a Man of God or give up the "Rev." ornament. Bill Cosby would be able to make Black intellectuals laugh AND think without being "whitewashed" by the poverty pimps, entitlement dealers and misery brokers.

DNC – from its onset - cripples the logical side of the sufferers brain, forcing the emotional side to take over. Pre-DNC thought sequence: "Should I stop for a cup of coffee? Nah, I had three cups this morning and I still wired." Post DNC sequitor: "Should I stop for a cup of coffee? Hell no! There are children burning under an unrelenting sun who will be forced to pick those non-shade grown beans for my capitalist self-indulgence.

Here's a partial list of common DNC buzzwords and phrases and what they actually mean:

- Body bags - soldiers killed by the enemy but blamed on U.S. policy
- Legitimate protest - senseless violence and hatred in the streets
- Our Kids (boys) in Iraq - military adults trained for combat
- Social Justice - persecution of middleclass Caucasians
- Respect from the rest of the world - World President Kofi Annan
- Regime change at home - anarchy that leads to Socialism
- Universal Healthcare - incompetent medical service for all
- Bush / W – non-intellectual, Christian, capitalist, ignores the Left
- NeoCon - the much hated father figure
- Stolen election - uncounted illegal immigrant votes
- Progressive - unemployed pothead who needs to score a bag
- Libertarian - employed pothead w/ pot who needs friends
- Quagmire - unemployed and out of pot
- Tolerance - a blind eye to deviates, hating Christians or Conservatives
- Animal Rights - denial of human rights and mob rule
- Gender Equality - destroying masculinity and, by extension traditional femininity
- Cultural Sensitivity - fear of rejection by foreigners and peers
- Unilateralism - enlisting France, Germany, et al, ti hinder the U.S.

The most recognizable aspect of the syndrome is a basic premise that drives the victim: Unless the U.S. is continually represented as "screwed up," someone will notice that the DNC sufferers are not making sense. If challenged about this assertion, the victim gets louder, more dissociative and, in utter frustration, accuses the challenger of being Satan.

Given its socially disruptive nature, this disorder could make the impact of AIDS look like a mild case of the mumps.
